Are you looking for Rock Band lessons and experiences for your child?

Being part of a band is being part of a team. Through regular teaching sessions, we help children and teens develop not only musical skills but also life skills that provide a solid foundation for later life. This is the ultimate music education environment where students get to learn their instrument with other students in a true rock band setting!! Children can choose whether to learn the drums, keyboard, electric guitar, bass or vocals prior to their first lesson. As a band, they then pick their own band name and the songs they'd like to play. From absolute beginners to experienced musicians, what could be more fun that getting out of that one-to-one lesson and actually play in a band with other kids at there age and level and experience that share the same passion.

All of our bands get to learn songs they love, make new friends with the opportunity to perform their songs live in front of an audience.

Lessons are provided in our fully equipped studio. When making an enquiry, please indicate if you are interested in the ROCK BAND PROGRAM.

Meet Luke – Our drum teacher!

I began playing drums at the age of six, studying with a number of teachers and developing strong foundations in drum notation and a variety of musical styles. By the age of eight, I was already performing in bands and gaining early experience playing with other musicians.

In my early teens, I entered Drumtek’s Australia’s Up-and-Coming Drummer competition, where I placed 4th. Since then, I have performed with a range of ensembles including cover bands, wedding bands, and a community jazz band. I have also had the opportunity to perform in a local production of Wicked: The Musical in Griffith, NSW.

Alongside live performance, I have recorded and performed with bands including Sinnister Valley and Infernal Outcry.

As a teacher, I focus on building strong fundamentals, including reading drum notation and developing essential techniques that allow students to confidently explore any musical direction they choose. Once a solid foundation is established, I enjoy helping students refine their playing through more detailed and advanced concepts.

The most rewarding part of teaching for me is seeing a student finally master a fill or piece of music they’ve been working hard on and watching their confidence grow.

Meet Wayne – Our guitar teacher!

With over 20 years of professional performance experience and four years of dedicated classroom teaching, I provide a high-level foundation for students in guitar, vocals, and songwriting. My approach balances technical proficiency with the creative integrity required to help young musicians find their own voice.

My teaching is grounded in Kodaly pedagogy, prioritizing aural development and a "sound-before-symbol" approach to ensure students build a deep, intuitive understanding of music. This methodology is supported by my four years of classroom experience, where I developed a structured, sequential curriculum that effectively engages diverse learning styles. While my background includes successfully supporting students with ADHD and Autism, my primary focus remains on creating an organised and high-energy environment where every student can excel.

My goal is to provide a professional, inclusive space where technical skill meets genuine musical expression. Whether your child is picking up an instrument for the first time or beginning to compose original work, I am committed to fostering both their technical mastery and a lifelong, meaningful connection to music.
